We experienced the hottest July on record which had effect on water temperatures and fishing. Fishing was good with catches of Coho, Pinks, Sockeye (released) and some Springs.
River and local Ocean temperatures reached 70′ close to 10′ warmer than average. Fish seemed to be holding in deeper cooler water. On a very positive note, Chinook catches have been increasing daily. After some rain and back to normal temperatures, fishing looks good for August.
